At Castle Mountain Lodge we offer more than just a room. Check out some of our extra amenities:

  • BBQs

    • Every cottage, suite, vacation home and inglenook has it's own private BBQ on it's deck or patio. People staying in a room can use the BBQ on the patio east of the motel building, in front of the hot tub/laundry building. The barbecue on the river bank is a favorite family gathering spot and available to all guests.

  • Games

    • We have a good selection of family games and kid's toys in the library. You're welcome to borrow them and take them to your cabin.
  • Housekeeping

    • Every day we supply fresh towels and remove the trash. Full housekeeping service is available for an additional 15% service charge.
  • Ice Cream Socials

  • Kitchens

    • Our cottages, suites, inglenooks and vacation homes have full kitchens with dishes, tableware, pots and pans. Bring your own food. Kitchens include a range with oven, sink, refrigerator and microwave oven. If you want a dishwasher, choose Castle Tower, Riverside, Castle Spruce, Homestead or River Castle 1.

      Rooms have a small refrigerator and microwave oven for fixing snacks or warming take-out meals. Castle 6 has a small kitchenette without oven.

  • Laundry

    • We have a laundry for the convenience of our guests. It's adjacent to the spa, always open, and has a courtesy phone. Soap is available at the front desk (8 am - 9 pm).
  • Library

    • The library, adjacent to the lobby, is open every day from 8 am to 9 pm. Stop in for a complimentary cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Read the newspapers. Borrow a book or game. Plug your notebook computer into the ethernet (free WiFi is available throughout the property). Meet your neighbors.

      In the wintertime, the library is available for weekday meetings and weddings. Call for details.

  • Pet-Friendly

  • Playground

    • Our playground has a wonderful slide, climbing bars, and swings for kids of all ages. We also have horseshoes and shuffleboard in the playground area.
  • Restaurant

    • Follow the path at the east end to Nicky's Restaurant and Lounge.
  • Fall River

    • Fall River runs through our property for more than 1000 feet. We stock it with pan-sized rainbow trout and the sound of the water tumbling over the rocks is a wonderful lullaby.
  • River Front

    • The gathering area on the riverbank has a fire pit, picnic tables and outdoor chairs for all guests to enjoy. We provide the fire pit and fire wood.
  • River Path

    • A path follows the river as it runs through our property. It's popular with fishers, birders and nature explorers.
  • River Walk

    • Take the paved Riverwaik from our covered bridge to town (about a mile to this side of town, two to the east end), around the Lake Estes Hike and Bike Trail (3.75 miles around the lake) and up Fish Creek. Walkers, bikers, skaters and scooters ore welcome.
  • Rocky Mountain National Park

    • Rocky Mountain National Park is our uphill neighbor. Go to the Park:
      • On Foot. Follow the game trails from your door, up to the Park's Deer Ridge Trail. It leads to the top of Deer Mountain and on to the entire Park trail system.
      • By Shuttle. In the summer and fall, free shuttles take you into the Park.
      • By Car. Drive out our covered bridge and turn left. The Fall River Entrance to the Park is less than three miles upriver (west).
  • Shuttles to Town adn the Park

  • Telephones

    • Evergreen A and B and Homestead have private telephones. Cell phone reception varies, depending on your location and carrier. ATT seems to be the strongest. The walkway on our covered bridge gives the clearest shot to the local cells. A courtesy phone is available in the laundry 24 x 7.
  • TV, VCR, DVD

    • All units have a color cable TV, video and DVD player.
  • WiFi

    • We have free wireless Internet throughout the property.
